Chapters 291 & 292: Plays

Happy Saturday!

Hope you’re all having a wonderful weekend!

Yesterday, I went to go see a play that several friends were in. The play was the “25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee” and it was AMAZING. The show is absolutely hilarious, and and excellent way to spend a Friday night. I highly recommend it 🙂

So, what is your favorite play? Why?

Hope you have a great weekend! xxoo

  1. I have no singular favorite, but “25TH ANNUAL PUTNAM COUNTY SPELLING BEE” is definitely up there! I actually just saw a production of it recently with a few of my friends as well!

I have a couple of favorites, but I’d have to say this play called “One Man, Two Guvnors” is definitely on the list. I saw it in London and I was laughing the entire time. It was so funny.

  3. My favorite play is “How I Learned to Drive” by Paula Vogel. It won the Pulitzer in 1998. It’s so beautiful and crafted. It’s about a girl whose uncle molests her. Sounds dark, and it is, but Vogel manages to realistically depict the protagonist and it’s darkly hilarious at times too. The characters are magical and it’s strange and perfect and ugh, SO. GOOD.
I also love some good old Tennessee Williams.

  4. Twas a lovely weekend in Vancouver Canada. It is beach weather, so were all working on our tans 🙂 Glad you had a great time at the play.

A few years ago I saw a play at our community playhouse, called “The Inspector Calls” its a whodunnit mystery written by Agatha Christie
It was very entertaining, kept us guessing until the end. Best of all though an old high school friend was in the cast, he played the detective.
