How To Deal With Being Sick

1) If you are well and truly sick, why are you reading this post? You definitely should be going to the doctor, or at least resting in bed. Probably surrounded by tissues and juice/tea

2) Make sure you keep hydrated. Dehydration will only prolong your illness.

3) If needed, take off from work or class to rest. You won’t be helpful to anyone if you’re sitting at a desk sniffling.

4) Wear your comfortable clothes. No need for suits and heels, sweatpants will do just fine.

5) Get outside for a little while if you can. Fresh air always helps.

6) Make sure you stock up on medicine/items that you need. Even if you don’t use everything during the duration of your illness, it’s a good idea for the next time.

7) Start taking vitamins. Always an excellent idea if you don’t like being sick.

8) Get as much rest as you possibly can. Sleep is a great thing, especially if you’re sick.

9) Just be lazy. I don’t mean neglecting everything and everyone, but make sure to relax and get better.

10. Being sick sucks. There’s no way around it, it does stink. Take a load off, take medicine and relax. You’ll get better soon.

Quick Note: Back Tomorrow

Happy Thursday!

As I mentioned in yesterday’s post, I’ve been sick for the past few days. The good news is that I’m feeling a lot better, and have a long post to share with you all tomorrow!

Thank you for all your kind words and well wishes, and I’ll be back blogging soon!

Have a great day! xxoo

Chapters 286 & 287: Under The Weather, But Feeling Better

Happy Monday!

I apologize for my absence yesterday, but I was feeling under the weather. The amount of tissues that were piling up in my garbage can are proof of that. But I’m happy to report that I’m feeling much better today!

Personally, I don’t get sick often, but when I do, it’s like my entire body goes on strike. Does that happen to you? Do you feel like your body gives up and refuses to function properly? How do you deal with being sick? Do you get sick often?

Those are a lot of questions, I know, but I love to learn more about you all 🙂

I’m glad to say that I should be back to a regular blogging schedule soon, so keep your eyes peeled!

Have a great week! xxoo

Chapters 38 & 39: Sick Days & Doctor’s Offices

Happy Friday!

As you might of seen, I didn’t write a new post yesterday, which through my daily schedule off kilter. This was because I spent all of yesterday evening in my bed, blowing into tissues every five seconds and pumping my body full of medicine. So I apologize for the lack of a post yesterday, and you’re welcome to blame my immune system for the cause for the delay.

So I thought I’d write a double-post today to make up for the short posts this week. Today, I had my first trip to my schools’ Infirmary, in which I was required to sit on a patient table for almost 15 minutes going over my extensive medical history of the past 17 years of my life. The only diagnosis that was given to me? Only to come back later to see the doctor so that he/she can formally diagnose me…needless to say, my first trip will hopefully be one of my last this year.

What do you do to make yourself feel better when you’re sick?

Hope you all have a fantastic weekend, and stay warm!

Chapter 37: Winter Chills

Happy Wednesday!

For most people on the East Coast, it appears that there’s a winter storm coming, and with that comes layered clothes, hot food and in my case, a ton of tissues and medicine. Today I woke up feeling the beginnings of a cold, which is a major snag in my school plans and work load. I’ve spent the day pumping medicine and hot drinks into my immune system with the hope that I’ll wake up tomorrow feeling a bit better, maybe even with some snow sprinkled outside on the ground to greet me.

Hope you all have a great rest of your week! xxoo
