Chapters 177 & 178: Car Rides & Ideas

Happy Sunday!

Everyone gets stressed. Sometimes, that stress can pile up until you feel like you’re going to burst into tears. But sometimes, getting away from the problem(s), if only for a little while, can make you feel like smiling instead of crying. Just take a minute to walk outside, take a few deep breaths and just relax, because even if you’re still stressed, I guarantee you’ll feel a bit calmer.

Even though I’m still overwhelmed by school and work, I realized that if I don’t get a chance to step away from it and relax, I’ll probably end up bursting into tears in the middle of class….which would be pretty hard to explain to my professors and classmates. So instead, when the going gets rough, I’ll try to take a break, listen to some music, watch a funny video…or just sit quietly for a minute to clear my mind. I’d rather finish everything knowing I did the best job possible, rather than running around frantically doing a half-assed job.

Hope you all have a great week!

Chapter 60: Maturity Level

Happy Friday!

Today, while my roommate and friend were bickering over a little thing, I did something that is pretty unlike myself. I didn’t intrude on the argument or crack a joke to break up the tension. I simply sat down and waiting for the issue to resolve itself. Normally, I’m the goofy one of my friends, always smiling or being funny to cheer everyone up. But today, I simply decided that the 2 of them were old enough to work it out for themselves, and that by interrupting, I would’ve only made it go on longer.

Hope you all have a great weekend!

Chapter 33: Family Weekend, Part Two

Happy Saturday!

Today was day two of Family Weekend, at despite the chilly temperatures, it was an amazing day. My family had the chance to meet some of my friends (and their families) here, and it was great to see everyone interacting and laughing with each other. It was like my two separate homes coming together in unison.

Besides the big meet-and-greet, it was nice to just take a deep breath and relax with my family in preparation for the next few grueling, work-filled, hectic weeks that I have in store before Thanksgiving break.

Until tomorrow! xxoo
