Chapter 213: Libraries

Happy Saturday!

First, thank you all for the lovely comments & views yesterday, I was having a bit of a rough week, so having your support made it much better. So thank you!

Second, I love the library. I love the library because it’s quiet, because it’s calm, & because it’s a place where I’m surrounded by books. The library is a place where people read, do work, or study for exams. It’s where people sit back & relax with a good book, or are frantically writing a paper or cramming for a test. It’s a place that can be quiet, or filled with people talking to their friends. It’s a year-round, 365-day haven for some of us who love to read, or need a quiet place to sit and think.

Filled with stories, with facts, with information, with wisdom. Libraries are filled with life, with history of years past, and books long forgotten. Libraries contain both the old and the new, always changing, always evolving. Libraries keep you warm during the winter, and cool during the summer.

Libraries are so much more than places where books are kept. Libraries are full of inspiration and life, and they will be around for a long time, always standing strong, and keeping people engaged.

So, what are some of your favorite books? Mine are, The Catcher in the Rye, the Harry Potter series, all of John Green’s books, and A Tree Grows in Brooklyn.

Hope you all have a great weekend!

Chapter 202: Life In A Library

Happy Wednesday!

As a college student, you tend to spend time in the library (some more than others). It’s a (usually) quiet place to sit and do work or study. However, during final exams, the library turns into a chaotic mass of stressed students vying for a seat in order to get some peace and solitude.

It’s a crazy thing, but I guess in college, libraries aren’t just for checking out books anymore, there a place to socialize, to laugh, to study, and sometimes, even sleep.

Hope you all have a great week!

Chapters 162, 163, 164: It’s Saint Patrick’s Day Weekend, & I’m In The Library

Happy Saturday!

Based on the title, yes, it’s Saint Patrick’s Day! (Well, tomorrow). And since I’m on a college campus, that means it’s a weekend full of drinking and partying. Personally, I’m not much of a drinker, and while I like parties, the ones that are going on are a bit too crazy for my liking.

And there’s the issue of having an exam on Monday, and two assignments due Tuesday. So even if I wanted to go out and party, my workload is threatening to crush me under it’s weight. Instead, I’m in the library finishing my work, because otherwise, I know I’ll never be able to focus and complete it (my dorm is currently filled with extremely loud drunk people). I don’t really mind though, because once I get this done, I’ll be free! Well, for the weekend anyway, because the next few weeks are overloaded with assignments and research papers.

Wish me luck, and have a safe & happy Saint Patrick’s Day! (Even if you don’t celebrate it!)

Chapter 144: I Love Libraries & Note-Taking

Happy Sunday (and Oscar Sunday I guess, but I’m not watching it)

I spent almost four hours today in my school’s library, re-typing my notes in order to prepare for my Child Development midterm on Wednesday. I can happily say that I’ve completed re-typing up all of my notes…only to realize that I still have another class (and its’ notes) to still type up. Also, the chairs in my library are surprisingly comfortable, and it’s nice and warm there.

Since my brain has now currently turned to mush (for today anyway), I’m writing up the rest of my notes tomorrow. Otherwise I’ll probably fall asleep while typing, which wouldn’t be helpful to study with.

Hope you all have an amazing week!
