Chapters 174, 175 & 176: Home(Work) For The Weekend

Happy Friday!

After 12 years in the education system, I have finally figured out the true meaning of homework. While it’s a simple thing, work that is completed at home (duh), I never really thought twice about it until now. Because now, as a college student, I’m home for the weekend, and the amount of work I have to do can’t be completed while on the bus ride to school or frantically in homeroom.

No, the amount of work that’s been assigned for this upcoming week is the equivalent of a giant  wedgie (a mental one), along with a late bus ride, and indoor recess. The fact is, no child enjoys indoor recess in the spring. That also includes college students.

But, at least I’m home and in my own bed…surrounded by textbooks and notes….but still in my bed, so I guess that counts for something.

Who knows, maybe I’ll receive extra credit if I complete it in crayon?

Hope you all have a great weekend!

Chapter 15: Education Elation

As I talked about in yesterday’s post, I went back to school today after being home for a short break.

I’m also a bit lonely coming back, not only because I miss my family, but my roommate hasn’t returned back yet. While my room is like my second home here, it’s still always will feel a bit lonely every time have to sleep without anyone in the next across from me.

I expected things to change while I was away, but when I stepped into my room, it was like I had never left (except for the lack of clothes and the unmade bed). And that was an awesome sight to return to, knowing that I’ll always have my home with my family (and bed!), but to know that soon, this room…my room, at school will become my second home.

Happy Tuesday to all of you! xxooImage
