Happy Sunday!

So, my 19th birthday is tomorrow, and I’m excited! It’s weird to think that a whole year has passed since I turned 18, and now I’ll be turning a year older, and (hopefully) another year wiser.

But fear not dear readers, my blog will not be changing! I considered changing my URL, but I figured doing that would be confusing and difficult to explain. So although I’ll be 19, the URL and title of my blog will remain the same!

Birthdays are something special, something that makes you feel happy and important, if just for those 24 hours. It’s scary to think about, because becoming another year older means having to grow up and become an adult. And sadly, since I’m not Peter Pan, I can’t avoid growing up!

  2. Take it from an old man, I am 63, birthdays can be a pain and often are. I may talk about my birthday and I will note it but I do not celebrate it.
    I wish that your birthday be a happy and enjoyable one but remember, there is a good chance that in the future your birthday will be just another day of the year. Enjoy these now.

    For my big day, I enjoy going to my favorite restaurant and spending my B&N gift cards lol.

  7. Happy Birthday, young’un. May this be one of the best years of your life.

    On my 19th birthday, I was supposed to get married. (I know. I shudder to think about it now.) At the time we broke up, I wasn’t thinking this far down the road, about how thankful I would be that the engagement broke off a week before the wedding for which neither of us was prepared. I didn’t realize that the plans I’d made weren’t the ONLY plans, weren’t the ONLY way to spend the rest of my life.

    And, wow, life has certainly taken unexpected turns. Looking back, I wouldn’t trade ’em.

  9. Happy Birthday Hope you enjoy it. Myself my birthday coming in a less that a couple of weeks and what I hope to do is go to the beach, hike in the woods and then have eggplant parm. and top it off with a slice of black forest cake with cherries on top

  11. Happy birthday!!! and for tomorrow a very merry un-birthday to you (to you). I usually sulk because I am work and then get obliterated to make up for it but that is because there isn’t much else to do the week before Christmas as no one has any cash. I do like to have a bit of a read at the pub before hand though just to even things out a bit.

    1. Thank you! And I kind of know how you feel, because I usually have classes on my birthday, and sometimes people forget because they’re focused on school. But reading sounds like an awesome way to spend your birthday 🙂 xxoo

    My last birthday (30), I stay at bed all day hearing radio from Japan, at night I buy a Double Mc Royal with double cheese and giant size and went to work from 23 PM to 7 AM …

    (… yes, this was kind of forever alone birthday, jaj)

  17. My birthday was always associated with dinner with family and/or friends, but since I have lived in Chicago, it has mostly taken on the identity of “just another day.” It does help that it is just before Independence Day, though. 🙂

  20. A happy belated birthday! 19…wow, you’ve got your whole life ahead to you…enjoy every moment. Make sure by the time you’re elderly you have a multitude of pleasant and precious memories to keep you warm!
