Chapter 288: Heat

Happy Tuesday!

Hope you’re all have a lovely week so far.

So, it’s currently summer time here in the US, which I love. I love the weather, the flowers, the lack of bulky clothing and the sunshine. I love summer rain/thunderstorms,  I love drinking lemonade, sitting outside, spending time with friends, no homework, tanning, the beach, etc.

As you can see, I’m a summer child 100% I’m technically born in the summer, as my birthday is September 2nd 🙂

However, one thing I don’t like is the heat. Specifically being in the heat without the availability of air conditioning. It’s not my favorite thing in the world, but it’ll be my life from 8:30-1:30 for five days a week until the beginning of August.

But hopefully it won’t be too hot, and I’ll try to keep cool!

So, how to you “beat the heat”? Let me know, maybe I can use some of your ideas!

Have a great week. xxoo

  1. The Writing Closet

I know this sounds like an ‘old age’ thing but my mother would wet a hand towel or cotton cloth and wear it around the back of her neck. I hardly ever saw her sweat. But then again, at your age, I’m sure you wouldn’t be caught wearing a cloth around your neck in public – I certainly wouldn’t either. Unless maybe it was neon pink with cute little butterfly sequins or something in that fashion then I might. 😀

  2. Thinking cool thoughts can help! That’s what I always hear but, when you’re in the city – like I am – and it’s humid enough to drench you in sweat 5 minutes out the door, it’s a little hard to think cool. In that case I go with carrying frozen water in my backpack. Seems to do the trick, even if you end up with a cold back.

  3. I like the summer, but the heat gets to me too. If you don’t have air conditioning, maybe try going to a library. They have air conditioning and Wi-Fi too 🙂 Sometimes you can run cold water on your wrists as well as wear a damp towel on the back of your neck. When all else fails, a cold shower will do the trick. Might be uncomfortable at first, but it’s quite refreshing 🙂

      1. uuhhh, that’s bad, too much time. Me, in your place, did falsify my documents (jej, just joking). Anyway, try drinking ice water, that helps me a lot, too.
