Chapter 249: 31 Day Blogging Challenge, Day 4

Happy Tuesday!

Woo, onto Day 4! The challenge is, “What Are You Afraid Of”?. A lot. I’m afraid of random things, common things, things that only I could imagine…I’m much more afraid than I should be for an 18-year-old.

But here are some things that I’m afraid of.

  1. Squirrels (Yes, odd, I know, but I’m terrified of them)
  2. Puke (Freaks me out)
  3. Dying (Specifically, my loved ones dying.)
  4. Not finding someone to love (Big fear.)
  5. Not being able to be a mother (One day, I would love to be a mom)
  6. Sickness
  7. Losing a friend/family member (if I fight with them)
  8. Dying young (I am only 18)
  9. The Future (Scary.)
  10. Not having a future (Scarier.)

Challenge complete. This one is a darker one, but I needed to complete it.

What are you afraid of?

Have a great week. xxoo

Not finding someone to love is a common one with teenagers. I’d advise you let it go. Yes, it really is that simple. Make a conscious decision not to want someone else. Not to need someone else. In truth, you don’t need someone to love you, so there’s no need to fear it.

I let go of that fear in the month of August. By November I met the coolest person I’ve ever known. In May we were “official”. I’ve never looked back. Let go of the fear and you’ll be pleasantly surprised. 🙂

As for my fears… Spiders. Not the “Oh my god, a spider!” way. I’m a proper phobic with them. Struggling to breath, sweaty palms and constant surveillance are the main things I go through when I see them (virtually any size). The other night I was awake until about 3.30am because of one in my room. It was the size of my thumbnail… and I’ve really small thumbs…

    1. Thanks for the advice! It’s not really something I “fear”, but it is a concern of mine. Mainly because my parents have an amazing relationship, and I hope I can have something similar in my life. But I know it’ll all be alright, it’s just a teenage concern 🙂

And I know a lot of people who have a phobia of Spiders. Oddly enough, I’m not scared of them. But I am terrified of Bees & Wasps, mainly because I’m allergic to their stings. But I’m hoping you don’t encounter Spiders often 🙂 xxoo

My girlfriend is allergic to those, too! It makes it all the weirder that she’s okay around them, other than the typical panicked that everyone tends to do. They come into my room during the summer when it’s warm and have habit of walking around my bed. They know…

My teenage concerns only left me a short while ago. I feel lost without them. 😛

      2. Haha your girlfriend and I react similarly. That’s because bees are less likely to sting you if you’re calm and not moving, rather than freaking out (as most people tend to do). I’m just used to being calm around them, to avoid getting stung.

And I’ve still got a few more years with my teenage concerns, I’ll cherish them while they last 😛 xxoo

Great post! I’m slightly older than you and most of those concerns on your list cross my mind from time to time..it’s just human nature! With regard to number 4, I could honestly say that you shouldn’t worry. It’s going to come when the time is just right…and mostly likely when you least expect it 🙂

    1. Wow, thank you so much! However, I have over 200 followers (which is crazy!), so I don’t fit the requirements for being a nominee, and I don’t think I can accept the award because of that. But thank you so so so much for nominating me, it means a lot! xxoo
