Happy Thursday!
Today, I’d like to share with you a piece I wrote a while ago. About passion, and what it means to me.
Passionate People.
I think deep down, everyone has a passion.
I think we’re born with it, but we can spend our wholes lives looking for the best way to express it.
It’s life in its purest form, and once found, we can live the rest of our lives surrounded by it.
Maybe the purpose of our lives in general is discovering our passion.
Maybe…I think that it’s to use our passion to better the lives of others.
I like that thought, but I think the first step is discovering what our passion is, then what we can do with it to help, and once there, who and how we want to help with our passion.
So, that’s it! What does passion mean to you? I think it means doing something you’re interested in, and being happy.
Hope you have a great week! xxoo

i’ve always had this question in mind: do we choose our passions or is it something assigned to us like a possession at birth that we have yet to figure out? 🙂

Excellent question! I think we find our passions (i.e., music, art, etc.), but then it’s up to us to choose what we do with them. But that’s just my opinion, what do you think? xxoo

First off, thanks for stopping by and liking my post! After reading this one I can’t wait to read the rest. I think the biggest part of life is the journey itself. Without the experiences of the journey, there would be no passion towards the destination.
You have a good week also!

You’re welcome! And I think that idea that the journey is an important part is true, you don’t know where life will take you, but if you can find something you love, it makes the journey better 🙂 xxoo

you are definately right, my passion is fine arts, it was hard at first for my family to support me in my chosen field (actually i’m still working on it). I suppose it helps sometimes to be stubborn and defiant. had i not bee, id propably be doing engineering or something of the sort. firstly you must be happy and content with what you before you can even attempt inspire or help others. do what you love and the rest shall follow

I agree with being happy with what you want to do. That’s a huge part of passion I think, because it allows you to explore your talents/skills, and utilize them in a way that suits you. xxoo

Passion…wonderfully succinct post. Passion for me is like a runaway locomotive or tsunamic explosion that can’t be controlled, remains intrinsic and comes from our heart and soul. Without it, a person is merely Sunday shopping because they haven’t anything better to do (well haven’t realized they have something better to do). I agree with your statements and I think true passion is not as destructive as it may appear, but easily tears down walls of insincerity and mediocrity. Passion is easily the breath of life when we let go and recognize our strengths, our truths and foster them. Imagine a world without all the feigned emotion, sincerity, and ability…it would be quite awesome to endure! nice post!

We actually had to do a passion project at school. I personally feel passionate about playing the flute, so I used that for my topic and learned more than I thought I would. Passion for me is whatever you voluntarily use all (or most) of your free time for and devote effort into expanding what you know and do concerning whatever it is.
