Today, I experienced one of the most nerve-wracking things I’ve ever had to do…I had a job interview. For a lot of people, it really isn’t that big of a deal, but when you’re pretty shy? It’s a lot harder to even work up the courage to say “hello”.
As I walked into the room, I was sweating bullets and nerves hijacked my speech. But once I met the person who was to interview me, it was like everything fell into place. I didn’t have anything to be worried about, and as it turned out, I was almost overqualified for the position! I was accepted on the spot, and I doubt anything could’ve wiped my massive smile off my face as I walked out the door.
How do you handle job interviews? Is it easy, or if you’re shier, what do you do to calm your nerves beforehand?
